PC38002

The PC38002 is a versatile 10/100Mbps five-port Ethernet switch that can function in 10BaseT or 100BaseTX modes and allow connections made through onboard RJ-45 connectors. The PC38002 can be used as a standalone module or integrated within a PC/104 or PC/104-Plus system together with a Eurotech CPU module.
Cross-over connection
The PC38002 can optionally feature a cross-over connection between Ethernet ports 2 and 3 that can be activated via software, automatically activated when the board is powered off, or activated when a Watchdog signal is received from the host Eurotech CPU module.

PC38001

This small form factor Layer 2 switch features an onboard microprocessor for local/remote control and monitoring, Quality of Service (QoS) traffic prioritization, Virtual Local-Area Network (VLAN) trunking, as well as support for Telnet remote management and Rapid Spanning Tree (RSP) redundancy.
Designed for robust performance under high shock/vibe and thermal conditions in space-constrained military / civil applications, the PC38001 serves as an ideal Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution to enhance situational awareness and IP network centricity. The product is available as a standalone board or integrated into a military-hardened enclosed switch subsystem (DuraNET 1268) or mobile router subsystem (DuraMAR 5915). No additional processor is required to operate the board, and power can be drawn through either the ISA/PCI buses or 2-pin Molex connector (for non-PC104 systems).
The PC38001 is designed with extended temperature components and comes with thermal heatsink plates to simplify systems integration and conductive cooling. A rugged, impedance-matched backplane-style connector brings out high-speed Gigabit Ethernet signals, along with an RS-232 serial console for CLI management, status LEDs, and zeroization. An out-of-band 10/100 Ethernet port is also available for Web GUI management of port settings. Up to four of the board’s switch ports can support fiber optic connections. If additional port density is desired, any of the GigE ports can serve as a link for cascading multiple switch modules, while an onboard infrared interface supports recognition and management of two stacked PC38001 boards under the same console interface.

Data Acquisition
Athena III’s integrated data acquisition circuit includes 16 analog inputs with 16-bit A/D and 150KHz maximum sample rate, four 12-bit analog outputs, 24 digital I/O lines, and two counter/timers. It uses an enhanced 512-sample FIFO with programmable threshold for maximum flexibility and data reliability.
The analog circuitry utilizes Diamond Systems’ industry-leading autocalibration technology to calibrate its A/D and D/A circuits. This means you get analog I/O performance with the maximum possible accuracy over the full operating temperature range of the product.

Software Support

Athena III runs Linux, Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows Embedded CE, and QNX. A Linux Software Development Kit is available with bootable images and drivers to get you started on your design project right out of the box. Diamond’s free industry-leading Universal Driver software is also included.
